Session description:

Simple straight lines can create patterns and shapes that bend our imaginations. In the same way, the daily tasks carried out within our roles can have a dramatic impact on human lives—including our own. 

That is why in this session we lean toward holistic design, in which individual parts are considered in relationship to their environment. 

We will investigate the patterns in which we participate, and—acknowledging that Supportive Housing work can be extremely taxing to those engaged in it—the workshop will focus on building sustainability from the inside. The session will include meaningful self-care and healing for those who may encounter trauma firsthand and vicariously through their work. 

Opportunities for reflection and connection will be foundational to creating a holistic view of the work and its ability to uphold others on the journey.
