This session will improve the learner’s understanding of the brain changes that occur during the process of dementia, as well as the differences between typical and atypical aging. 

Learners will understand the ways in which these structural changes contribute to changes in everyday function. 

The session will also introduce techniques for improved communication with those living with dementia.
