Identifying household occupants and tracking their role in an affordable unit is critical in maintaining affordable compliance, even making the difference in whether a unit continues to qualify as an affordable unit. The failure to do so may make the unit ineligible to claim tax credits throughout the 15-year Compliance Period and beyond.
This webinar will address the following:
- who qualifies as a household member,
- individuals who do not qualify as a household member,
- how individuals in a unit should be identified and tracked,
- how individuals residing in a unit are listed on the Tenant Income Certification form,
- change in household composition and the certification process for new household members, and
- the Totem Pole rule.
Ensuring that all applicable household members are identified, certified, and documented will assist in maintaining compliance throughout the life of the affordable community.
The class will be recorded and available to registered participants in the Attendee Hub (https://cvent.me/2o2L01) until October 31, 2026.
Cost: $50 nonmember
