Join us for a collaborative workshop about how to converse with residents in a variety of situations, including:
- spontaneous conversations when they see you on the property;
- before, during, and after scheduled maintenance or inspections in their homes;
- when you have to refuse requests or make unpopular announcements such as policy changes, shutoffs, or other inconveniences; and
- fielding complaints.
Learning objectives:
- Participants will identify the dynamics that can make these conversations stressful.
- Participants will acquire techniques for skillfully maintaining boundaries in challenging conversations.
- Participants will generate individualized strategies for respectfully redirecting the tenant when necessary.
