This seminar provides an in-depth exploration of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA) requirements as they apply to HUD-assisted multifamily housing programs.
Designed for property managers, compliance specialists, and housing professionals, the training unpacks the complex regulatory changes introduced under HUD’s HOTMA Final Rule and guides participants through practical implementation strategies.
Participants will gain a detailed understanding of income calculations, asset limits, family composition rules, interim reexaminations, and other key provisions now affecting occupancy and eligibility requirements.
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- explain the purpose and major provisions of HOTMA as it pertains to HUD-assisted multifamily programs;
- understand new income and asset rules correctly when determining eligibility and rent calculations;
- implement updated reexamination, interim, and verification procedures in accordance with HUD guidance;
- identify recordkeeping and documentation requirements under HOTMA; and
- prepare their property operations, forms, and staff for full compliance.
Property managers, compliance and occupancy specialists, regional managers, and other multifamily housing professionals working with HUD-assisted housing programs will find this two-part workshop extremely valuable.
A one-hour lunch break will be provided each day.
