Let’s face it: entering an occupied unit may be uncomfortable. Each person keeps their home differently. We may be confronted with unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells. 

In situations like these, it can be helpful to have clear standards and questions to apply across the diverse range of lifestyles encountered in affordable housing. 

In this session we will talk about what makes housing “home” for our residents, and what this may look like across cultures, regions, and socioeconomic classes.

Participants will think through ways to prepare for uncomfortable situations so that they will be able to uphold a high level of service with every tenant.
