Attend this two-hour session for an overview of Colorado’s methamphetamine contamination laws and regulatory thresholds. Participants will learn what triggers a professional assessment, and when testing is required.
The session will review the roles and responsibilities of the property owner, certified decontamination contractor, and decontamination consultant, providing a high-level overview of the remediation process.
Additional topics will include:
• how to properly vet, select, and contract with a licensed decontamination vendor;
• required documentation, clearances, and notices;
• examples of pitfalls that increase cost or delay re-occupancy;
• best practices for communication with tenants during contamination response; and
• managing expectations around timelines, costs, and state requirements.
Participants will earn a certificate valid for two years.
