Who should attend: All staff working on Supportive Housing properties in property management, human services, and maintenance roles
This year’s Supportive Housing staff retreat is all about structure. Supportive Housing (SH) is an incredibly complex structure, requiring firm foundations and committed focus from those working within.
That is why this year’s Supportive Housing theme will be presented in two parts to represent both the science and humanity of SH work. The goal is to strengthen the structure through more perfect alignment, while designing a system that allows health and sustainability in the human experience.
Attend both sessions to enjoy the following benefits:
- Increased understanding and effectiveness between property management, case management, maintenance, and tenants (June)
- Experiential self-care; expanded tools for well-being; and a personal action plan for professional sustainability (October)
Session descriptions:
June 12, 2026: Understanding Pillars of Supportive Housing
Consider that to an engineer or architect, the strength of a single beam is irrelevant until it is placed in meaningful relationship to the rest of the support structure.
With this in mind, the first workshop will focus on perfecting alignment in the relationship between its pillars: property management, case management, maintenance, and tenants.
All those working with tenants are invited to engage in a perspective-shifting workshop to strengthen the way we work together.
October 2, 2026: Bridges to Wholeness
Simple straight lines can create patterns and shapes that bend our imaginations. In the same way, the daily tasks carried out within our roles can have a dramatic impact on human lives–including our own.
That is why in session two we lean toward holistic design, in which individual parts are considered in relationship to their environment.
We will investigate the patterns in which we participate, and–acknowledging that SH work can be extremely taxing to those engaged in it–the second workshop will focus on building sustainability from the inside. The session will include meaningful self-care and healing for those who may encounter trauma firsthand and vicariously through their work.
Opportunities for reflection and connection will be foundational to creating a holistic view of the work and its ability to uphold others on the journey.
Both sessions will be located in Metro Denver. Featuring a catered lunch and a relaxing setting, each day will provide practical takeaways and connections with colleagues who understand. Enjoy a discount when you pre-register for both.
Cost (both sessions): $150 chfareach member; $180 nonmember
